Hello and welcome!

With clarity and compassion, I will support you to set and reach goals, break habitual patterns and find better ways of coping with the pain and stress of life. We all experience emotional suffering and have unwelcome thoughts. We get stuck in the past, worry about the future and face daily stressors related work, school, relationships and life in general.

I work with adults and youth (14+) on a diverse range of mental health issues, often related to anxiety, trauma, ADHD, OCD, neurodivergence, stress management, perfectionism and low self esteem. Some have been struggling for years, and others are newly suffering due to a loss or other big life change. Most are confused and frustrated by whatever pulls them away from living a more intentional life. They are stuck, lost and seeking a place that feels safe inside themselves and outside in the world.

I also work with parents and caregivers, couples and families on relationship challenges, communication issues, life transitions, strengthening connections and working together on a shared vision for the future. Sometimes in an effort to feel seen and heard, to be right, to have freedom of choice, to protect one another and avoid being vulnerable about our own anxieties, insecurities and unmet needs, compassion and curiosity go out the window. Therapy can help to repair wounds, restore relationship stability and collaboratively redefine what “should” be in ways that make sense for your traditional, non-traditional or blended family and broader communities.

My approach is informed by mindfulness and attachment based modalities including Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy, Somatic Psychotherapy and Family Systems Therapy. I’m committed to a trauma-informed, anti-oppressive practice and I’m an LGBT2SQ++ friendly health care provider.

I have a Masters in Counselling Psychology, a BA in Philosophy, a diploma in Social Service Work and I’m a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and a member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA).
